Another newborn came in, Mom is a country girl, so I tried to find props that would fit that. I'm really pleased with how these came out. Baby girl was not quite "newborn" as she was 3 weeks old at the time of the session. A little trickier to get and keep asleep, but she did beautifully.
The basket I had randomly picked up at TJ Maxx the week before along with this incredible soft super fluffy blanket. I had been perusing floor backdrops and wanted something that was a little more rustic for the session. After spending way too much time at Lowe's, I determined that a sheet of wall paneling in a whitewash would work just as well.
Mom had brought along several outfits, including this bright pink dress. I just love how this one turned out.
One request Mom had was for a feet picture. As baby feet are one of my most favorite things in the world, I was more than happy to capture that for her.
And that went so well that we decided to capture the other end too.
Although I haven't had many newborns, I do find it very rewarding to capture these first moments of a child's life. They just change so quickly.
